This is the second hair clip I have ever made, but, I don't think it will be the last. It is a fun little mechanical device to make and fabricating a silver spring is a particularly interesting challenge.

Fortunately I always learn something new when making things that I have never made before and it gets easier every time. As the old saying goes. . . "Practice makes perfect". . .

The aesthetic of this piece reminds me of Ionic Greek columns which became the inspiration for the name of this hair clip. I look forward to making some more hair clips in the future. 

For now its back to the studio for more work.
